Rev. Vincent M. Perry

Senior Pastor

Reverend Vincent M. Perry is a native of Saluda, South Carolina, and was born on June 1st, 1970. Reverend Perry graduated from Saluda High School and then furthered his education by attending Spartanburg Methodist College, and later transferring to Lander University. He has also taken numerous classes at the NJ Brockman School of Theology, attended many local workshops, Baptist Conventions, and theological seminars.

Reverend Perry is the youngest of three children born to Deacon Albert and Mamie L. Perry, and is married to the former Anglia Lindsay (high school sweetheart.) To this union was born three children: Brandon Rashad, Thaddeus Quinton, and Kyndall Nicole. He is also the the grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren.

Reverend Perry comes from Bethlehem Baptist Church in Simpsonville, SC under the tutelage of Dr. Phillip M. Baldwin. He accepted his call into the preaching ministry on July 26th, 2003, and after intense preparation, he preached his initial sermon on July 11th, 2004 entitled “Turning Your Test Into A Testimony.” He was officially licensed as a Baptist minister and also equipped to win souls for the Kingdom of God.

On June 4th, 2016, Reverend Vincent M. Perry was elected to pastor Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church in Woodruff, SC.  Since his inception as Pastor,  four ministries have been birthed into the LSGBC family: Greeters’ Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, Praise & Worship Ministry, and the Voices of Victory Choir.  He has also worked hard to bring the church body closer together, strived to grow our Bible Study Ministry, and has taught us the purpose of Bible study.

Reverend Perry is an example of how God can always turn nothing into something, for it was the blood that changed his life and gave him purpose in his life. One of his favorite scriptures comes from Romans 8:37-39 where it says “nothing can separate you from the love of God!” No matter how high, how low, how good, or how bad, God’s love can always find us. If it had not been for the Lord who was on our side, where would we be? To God be all the glory!
